| Dear Harris County Voters: Welcome to my website. Throughout this election season, the people of Harris County have been calling for change. However, we know change comes from hard work. The taxpayers more then ever are calling for a common sense government that effectively serves ALL residents. In a time when a weak economy affects all Americans and during a time in which protection of freedom and civil liberties is of the essence, Harris County needs a Tax Assessor-Collector that is responsive to taxpayer and voter needs. I offer the taxpayers of Harris County 28 years of service in the Harris County Tax Office--the type of experience that one can only gain in the trenches while providing quality and efficient customer service. I offer taxpayers an alternative that will ensure quality and efficiency through common sense solutions, such as: Voter Security. I will work to protect the American democratic process by ensuring that ALL eligible voters are able to vote and by protecting Harris County voter rolls from dangerous suspensions and purges that have left many innocent Harris County residents without that right that many have fought and died for--the right to vote. Harris County has the lowest registration rates and this must change. Taxpayer Advocacy. I will serve as an advocate for all Harris County residents to assure the county gets a better return on their taxpaying investment and that the state does its job of providing increased traffic relief, better health services, funding for our local schools and increase effectiveness in government for Harris County. I am running for this office because I want the Tax Office to become the people's office once again. The people of Harris County truly have a stake in county government and it is through this office in which you can once again have an advocate that is on your side.
